Training and education events:

Master courses by the BCU group

Master de Biología Molecular y Celular de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. "Estructura de macromoléculas y complejos macromoleculares (BM2)" More information

General information about the Master

Bioinformatics courses by the ArTeCS - UCM group

This project has contributed to these bioinformatics courses in providing practical experience and a real biological problem as an example to the structural biology and functional analysis topics contained in the courses? programs. The bioinformatics topics covered in this project include structural bioinformatics, proteomics analysis, functional bioinformatics, data and text mining; therefore, it has been taken as a good scenario for this training. Master courses by the UAM group

Master de Biología Molecular y Celular de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. "Relaciones Estructura-Función en Biomoléculas (BM3)". More information and general information about the Master

This project has contributed to these courses in providing a more deep knowledge of methodological approaches needed for the analysis of protein-protein interactions at the cell centrosome.

Ph.D courses Macromolecular Crystallography Group:

The Macromolecular Crystallography Group organizes the Ph.D course "Estructura de Macromoleculas Biologicas" inside the Ph.D programme of the Biochemistry Department of the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous Univeristy of Madrid (UAM). This Ph.D programme obtained the mención de calidad in 2006-2008 that is awarded by the Misnistry of Education and Science (MEC). Next year this course is integrated into the new Master Courses in the UAM.

Inside the course there are special lessons about the problems and strategies to solve the structures of protein complexes. This is directly related to the Centrosome Project founded by the CAM where one of the main objectives is to solve the structures of protein and protein complexes that reside at this organelle. The contribution of the RMN-IQFR group in these courses relies in the description of the basic principles of NMR and their applications in the structural biology field, and more in particular in the tridimensional structure of biological molecules, including the centrosomal proteins, as well as their dynamic and interactions.
